Facilitation is MUCH more than teaching!
My approach to facilitation
I ascribe to the principles of accelerated learning. My intent as a facilitator is to create learning experiences that meaningfully impact the behavior of the participants in their daily lives. My original classroom experiences with 12-year olds taught me the necessity of actively engaging the learner; this principle has been repeatedly reinforced by my work with college students and adults over more than four decades. I approach facilitation with appreciation for my participants, energy and good humor.
Facilitation Engagements
- Facilitation engagements can last from a couple of hours to multiple days.
- A minimum of six participants is required to create the interpersonal synergies and group energy to ensure workshop success.
- Discussions with the sponsor(s) regarding the group's needs and goals are required prior to design of the workshop, to assure the desired outcomes. There is no charge for these discussions. More formal needs assessment procedures are charged at the per diem rate.
- Fees start at $4000/day (6 to 15 participants), plus expenses. The cost of commercially available assessments or other similar supplies is included in the per diem rate.
